Other agents¶

Agents without a Dosi plugin, such as Gemini CLI, Cursor, OpenCode or Grok, get the same skills and dosi itself. They do not get the plugin's hooks, so the password guard and the validation after each edit are up to the skills' own rules.

Install¶

Tell the agent:

Install Dosi by following https://dosi.datus.ai/agent-install.md

The agent installs the skills where it reads them and dosi into ~/.local/bin, then checks that both work.

To do it yourself, copy skills/* from Datus-ai/dosi-plugins into the agent's skills folder (~/.agents/skills/ is read by several agents), and install dosi:

$ curl -fsSL https://dosi.datus.ai/install.sh | sh

In mainland China, add DOSI_SOURCE=oss before sh.

Check that it works¶

$ dosi info

Then open a project folder and ask the agent a data question. The skills run dosi through its CLI.

Add the MCP server¶

If the agent speaks MCP, give it dosi's tools as well: see Run the MCP server yourself. The skills use the tools when they are there.

Update¶

Ask the agent to follow the same instructions again, and say "upgrade dosi" to move to a newer dosi.
